This article shows you how to manually configure Mac Mail to check an email account.

How Do I Manually Configure Mac Mail to Check My Email?

This will help you set up and check an email account with Macintosh Mail.

  • Open Mac Mail.

  • Click Mail and then Preferences.


  • Click Accounts

    Here you'll want to fill out the Account Information.
    The Incoming Mail Server is: pop.frognet.net
    The Outgoing Mail Server is: mail.frognet.net
    Then click the Server Settings button at the bottom.

    The Outgoing Mail Server is: mail.frognet.net
    If you check the box to User Secure Sockets Layer, then change the Server port to 465. Otherwise, leave the box unchecked and the Server port should be 25.
    Choose Authentication: Password, and enter your full email address and password. Click OK. You're done!
