Important Notes:

Availability: Frame Relay must be tariffed by the Public Utilities Commission in your area. Your local phone company must also have switching equipment capable of handling a Frame Relay connection. Frame Relay is available in most Verizon territories, Athens and Pomeroy included.

Pricing: The total cost of a Frame Relay connection has three parts. First, there will be installation fees and monthly fees set by your local phone company. We have provided a chart above to help you estimate the total charge by your phone company. Secondly, there is a monthly fee and one time installation fee and monthly fee that is set by FrogNet. Finally, you may need to purchase additional equipment such as a CSU/DSU and Router.

Scalability: All Frame Relay connections are delivered to you via a T1. The equipment needed to maintain a Frame Relay connection is the same regardless of the speed. Therefore, if you decide to increase or decrease the amount of bandwidth, you more than likely will not have to replace your CSU/DSU or Router.

PVC (based on CIR): The Committed Information Rate (CIR) is the data transfer rate guaranteed by Verizon between your business or home's location and the FrogNet network. This is not a guarantee of the speed of Internet access, nor is one given or implied.
