A leased line connection to the Internet is the highest grade of Internet connectivity available. It is literally a solid line from your computer to FrogNet's network and the rest of the Internet. This type of connection is ideal for people who desire a high-speed dedicated connection to the Internet and intend to transfer extremely large amounts of data on the Internet on a continuous basis. Examples include, streaming high quality video and audio to end users, running your own web server, or providing continuous Internet and e-mail access to a large business or organization. Unlike DSL, Leased Line connections come with a Committed Information Rate, or CIR for short. This means the total amount of bandwidth you purchase will be available to you at all times, guaranteed.

Important Notes:

Contract: You may pay monthly but there is a minimum 12 month contract for leased line service. We currently offer no discounts for longer contracts.

Pricing: The total cost of a leased line connection has three parts. First, there will be installation fees and monthly fees set by your local phone company. Please call your local phone company for their current rates. Secondly, there is a monthly fee and one time installation fee and monthly fee that is set by FrogNet. Finally, you may need to purchase additional equipment such as a CSU/DSU and Router.

Scalability: All leased line connections are delivered to you via a T1. The equipment needed to maintain a leased line connection is the same regardless of the speed. Therefore, if you decide to increase or decrease the amount of bandwidth, you more than likely will not have to replace your CSU/DSU or Router.
