Taiji and qigong . . . they are good for you and good for the planet!
"Play your Taiji body like the perfect instrument of a bamboo flute. Lift it
up to the wind-it plays by itself, and the music comes from its emptiness. You
too can have an empty space within that plays. Don't overwork to fill yourself
with muscles, ideas and stale information. A stuffy, rigid body cannot dance! If
the many legs of a centipede were controlled by a thinking mechanism, they would
cross, tangle and interfere -- and the poor creature would never take another step.
Fly, centipede! Let your legs be unimpeded by thoughts of legs. Allow the breath
of your body to flow through spine, limbs, and all extensions. Within us, the
Earth-Body-Sky continuum can transform into a kite-a dragon riding on the wind!"

On May 4, Master Wang, Yen-Nien passed away at the age of 94. He is the well-known founder of the Yang Michuan Tradition International Center in Taipei, Taiwan and has taught thousands of students all over the world. Learn more about him at the Yang Michuan Tradition International Center website.
Tai Chi Boosts Immunity to
Shingles Virus in Older Adults, NIH-Sponsored Study Reports. A new study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society
reports that Tai Chi may help older adults avoid getting shingles by increasing immunity to varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and boosting the immune response
to varicella vaccine in older adults. Read more here.
